About the Chi Phi Fraternity

Founded in 1824, the Chi Phi Fraternity is the oldest men's college fraternity in existence today. Truth, Friendship and Personal Integrity are the hallmarks of our fraternity. We currently maintain 54 chapters and four colonies located at prestigious universities throughout the United States, with a combined membership of 2,500 undergraduates and 38,000 living alumni.

About the Tau Zeta Chapter

The Tau Zeta Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity was established at Boston University in 1989 and colonized nationally in March of 1995. We pride ourselves on being the closest group of brothers in the Boston University community with a strong focus on both social and philanthropic activities. Our brothers are known on campus as an outgoing, fun - and sometimes crazy - group of people who bring positive change to the community.

Tau Zeta currently has 28 active members and will be welcoming the Alpha Rho pledge class in the fall of 2009. Our size guarantees that every one of our brothers shares a close and personal connection. You are joining a fraternity, not a small high school. Joining Tau Zeta will help you create bonds in college that very few other orginizations can offer.

We fit NO Stereotypes. We are not the jocks, the book worms, the party animals, the foreigners, the athletes, the nice guys, the preps or the punks; we are all of those things and more. Tau Zeta boasts a wide range of unique men, hailing from Dubai, Texas, New Jersey, California and even Mexico. We have varsity athletes, fitness gurus, talented painters, fast-fingered musicians, Club Presidents, and even a SCUBA diving instructor. You name it, we do it.

Our pledging process is a journey that will educate you on the ways of becoming an authentic Chi Phi gentleman. We strive to mold new brothers who live by our creed and will never abandon their other pledge brothers. During the course of an 8-week program, you will experience the time of your life and accumulate enough priceless memories to last a lifetime.
