Tau Zeta: Recruitment

Why Join a Fraternity?

A Message from the President

Dear Potential New Members,

Deciding to join a fraternity can be an incredibly important decision in your college life. I joined Chi Phi during my first semester at BU and have never once regretted the decision. Pledging at the Tau Zeta chapter kept my entire semester filled with nonstop activity and adventure that I truly believe could not have been found anywhere else. I have become brothers with a group of men I would have otherwise never met, and now I can’t imagine college without them.

Most importantly however, I feel like I am a part of something bigger than myself. I am an individual, yet one in the same with all of my brothers. It is an amazing feeling to be part of organization that I have helped grow and succeed. If you want to be a part of something great, meet a group of close knit brothers, and use your talents to develop an elite organization – I implore you to participate in Fall Recruitment.

I enourage you to browse our site, and to check out our facebook group. Additionally, more information can be found at our National website, chiphi.org.

We don’t settle for mediocrity, and neither should you.

Sincerely,

Geraud Gonzales

Benefits of Joining a Fraternity

Brotherhood

This will always be number one on our list. You don't join a fraternity for the perks, you join for the people. Join Chi Phi and experience sacred traditions, out of state retreats and great times with lifelong friends. Friends come and go, Brothers are forever.

Good Times

The Tau Zeta chapter has social mixers with the best sorrorities and clubs on campus (including the dance team), we take brother trips across the country (Vegas baby!), we field intramural basketball, football, softball and broomball teams, and have an awesome 9-bedroom house to hang out in when you need a break from your studies.

Resume Builder

We make sure our brothers aren't just having fun in college, but also that they become experienced and productive members of the community. Build your professional resume by becomming a leader on the Chi Phi Executive Board and contributing to the fraternity. Our members attend leadership conferences throughout the year such as RLA and the Chi Phi Congress. These are great opportunities, which coupled with our Alumni connections will make you a very attractive candidate when you enter the job market.

Service

The Tau Zeta Chapter lives by the motto, "Always give more than you take." Last semester we received SAO's Community Outreach Award AND the Best Philanthropy event awards for our 6th Annual Haunted House. In three hours we managed to raise over $1600 for the Jimmy Fund. We also participate in the Walk for hunger, volunteer to clean up elementary schools, and much more. As a Chi Phi gentleman, you'll learn to lead and to serve.
